There is no point me telling you the risks of smoking, everyone knows the harm is can do to our bodies, the dangers of passive smoking, the raised anxiety levels it can create etc. etc.

So why do we still do it when we know it is one of the biggest killers in the UK?

Our minds have locked us into the belief that we need it, that it will calm us down when we are stressed, it is really hard to give up, etc. etc.  This is not the reality. Quite the opposite in fact, it can actually make us more anxious and depressed, and giving up can be easy.  Once you have control over smoking, you will have control over so many other areas of your life. You’ll be less stressed and tired and physical activity will be easier. Food will taste better and your skin will look younger. 

Hypnotherapy is a great way to quit smoking.

Beneficial results are often achieved faster than with other therapies. Using the tool of hypnosis the therapist guides the client into a relaxed state enabling direct access to their subconscious mind. This is where our instinctive behaviour patterns and natural reactions are formed. Using positive suggestion and imagery the therapist is able to focus on the behaviours that the client wishes to change.

People that have used hypnosis tend to find that they don’t gain weight, or have as many as the negative after effects that others report, and find it relatively easy to quit.

The client also receives a back up CD to listen to at home to cement positive behaviours.

I can personally vouch for this technique, after giving up smoking with hypnotherapy.

This is a one-off session lasting between 1 and 1/2 and 2 hours, and will costs £150. I ask for a £50 deposit to be paid to reserve your spot, as this is a large chunk of clinic time that is lost if you change your mind. A 48 hour cancellation policy is in place. 

No initial consultation is required, and you will be given a back up CD to take home with you.
